NEW YORK, March 23, 2009 — Humanscale Healthcare will unveil the T6 Point-of-Care Technology Cart at the HIMSS09 Conference & Exhibition. A follow-up to Humanscale’s hailed T5 Technology Cart, the T6 features improved cable management and sleek new aesthetics while teaming unmatched mobility and comfort with a high-performance power system for both laptops and PCs.
Available exclusively through EnovateIT, a leading provider of mobile wireless solutions and a premier global systems integrator for the healthcare industry, Humanscale’s T line of carts provide the first truly ergonomic healthcare computer-on-wheels solution. Extensive research and interviews with regular COW users led to the development of key features of the T5 and T6, including comfort for a wide range of users, ease of mobility, maximum maneuverability in confined spaces, and long-lasting power.
Designed to meet the ergonomic requirements of 99% of users in both sitting and standing postures, the T6’s keyboard, monitor, and work surfaces are each independently adjustable for maximum user comfort. Humanscale’s patented one-touch adjustable keyboard support technology ensures healthy typing and mousing, and dynamic height adjustability operated via foot pedal allows for instant overall changes in the cart’s height.
Offering one of the smallest footprints available, the T6 is designed to ensure effortless maneuverability in tight corridors, around hospital beds, and in other small spaces.
The T6’s energy-conscious and quick-charging internal power system stays cool without a fan, which helps limit the spread of contagions. Available with a 40-amp/hour battery and three outlets, the T6 provides up to twelve hours of continuous use between chargings, depending on the hardware in use. The T6 also features a unique remote power management system that relays battery information to a central location within a healthcare facility, allowing remote monitoring of the device to maximize run time and battery life.
Designed by the Humanscale Design Studio, the T6 contains more than 50% recycled materials and is itself 95% recyclable. Its unique features and sleek design aesthetic are among the many details that complete this innovative cart solution.
