Introducing the Herman Miller Healthcare Compass™ System
We’re excited to announce the launch of the Compass system, a new approach to modular furnishing systems for patient rooms, clinical care areas, exam rooms, and other clinical spaces in acute care and ambulatory care facilities.
The perfect healthcare space today will not be perfect tomorrow. Healthcare organizations face an ongoing challenge in managing their facilities: while treatment and care processes continually evolve, many healthcare spaces are not designed to adapt.
Compass helps navigate change. A modular system of interchangeable components for hospital and outpatient facilities, Compass is used to create applications for patient rooms, exam rooms, caregiver work areas, and other clinical spaces. More..

- Herman Miller at CES 2010
Herman Miller Ergonomic Desk & Chair: One company I did not expect to see at a show like CES is high-end furniture maker Herman Miller. But the company opted to show off its latest options in the ergonomic office. When you think about it, techies are spending hours on end at the computer playing video games, watching/downloading content, working, or even just surfing the Web and social networking sites. This means just as with the home theatre, comfort is of the utmost importance. More..

Eames® Molded Plastic Chair with Dowel-leg Base
The iconic Eames® Molded Plastic Chairs continue to be extremely popular since they debuted in 1951. A landmark design from Charles and Ray Eames, these organically shaped plastic seat shells were later combined with various base designs. The next reintroduction to this line is the highly demanded wood dowel-leg base. The wooden dowels bring a softer aesthetic to the chairs allowing them to play in a wider range of environments while the metal rods associate back to many other Eames designs. Today’s chairs are true to the originals, with updated, eco-friendly materials. Herman Miller will officially offer this new base option in November.

Herman Miller Sense Desking System

A desk can be assembled in just seconds, translating into real savings for your customers. For more info click here

- Herman Miller Energy Manager
Energy Manager is a simple device you add to your Herman Miller systems furniture—new or retrofit—to improve its performance by saving electrical energy.
Energy Manager controls two of the four circuits of power in a cluster of workstations. When a person sits down to work, an occupancy sensor detects their presence and turns on the devices in the cluster plugged into those two circuits—task lights, printers, monitors, chargers, etc. When the cluster is unoccupied, the devices automatically turn off.
